After hiking around Cadillac Mountain all day (i.e. driving around and getting out of the car for short walks and photo opportunities because it was HOT), we took an obligatory lobster and beer break at Trenton Bridge Lobster Pound. This may have been the best lobster I've ever had, really (thanks, Bo!). Later that evening, we drove back up Cadillac to see its famous sunset. It definitely didn't disappoint, but as you can see from this gallery, I was most impressed by the minutes just as the sun was starting to fade. The light was gorgeous, and bathed everything in this really delicate, soft glow. Images taken on my Fuji X100S because I am just not that good yet with film at that time of day.
Last month we spent a few days in Maine, exploring Bar Harbor and Acadia. The break came at a perfect time, as we were in the middle of preparing for our wedding and as busy as ever. I can't think of a better way to relax and recharge (and eat some of the best lobster I've ever had). Most of these images were taken on my Leica M6, with a few others captured by my trusty Fuji X100s.
