This winter, I decided to experiment with shooting film at night, something that I thought could never really look "good." Film, especially 400 speed film, needed lots of natural light. Right? This exercise was mostly borne out of not enough time to shoot during the day, but I figured I would make a go of it and try to figure out if film at night could work. I focused mainly on scenes with good amounts of artificial light, such as brightly lit buildings, neon signs, or street lights. I'm pretty happy with how these came out and definitely won't be complaining the next time I feel like I just don't have the time to shoot during the day.
