Clearly I'm not finished posting about February's trip to Paris because I haven't done a coffee roundup.
In the past few years, good coffee in Paris (as opposed to the bitter, filmy swill served in traditional bars and cafes) has taken off, with new roasters supplying high-grade beans to an ever-expanding list of incredible cafes. We made it our mission to get to as many as we could (strategically staying a just few mins walk from standouts Telescope and Cafe Kitsune).
The Parisian baristas were some of the nicest I've ever met: from Nicolas at Telescope who remembered our daily order, to the guy at Lockwood who took time out of a busy service to talk cameras with me. More than kind, they were passionate about coffee and the coffee experience. It was a coffee tour unlike any other.
